The newest
addition to the DGB gang is Maggie (FKA Hotlips). She is a just young pup
having been born on September 8, 2006. Maggie was allowed to join the gang
mainly because of her keen sense of hearing. It was believed this would
give the gang the added protection they needed should any lawmen or renegade
Indians try to sneak into their camp at night to collect a bounty or scalp,
her ferocious bark would serve as an alert to the gang, giving them ample
time fend off the intruders!
Taquila Tab,
Honky Tonk Harlot, and Maggie usually drift from town to town riding in
their 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 300+ horses. This mode of
transportation affectionately named "Big Jake" sports the Duramax
diesel engine with the sturdy Allison transmission.
During the
longer dusty trips, these three members will often stay in their covered
wagon called a Wildcat. This portable bunkhouse is 32’ long and besides
sleeping quarters, includes a kitchen and an indoor outhouse complete with
running water. The builder of this 2005 covered wagon was the Forest
River Corporation out of the Indiana Territory..
In order to keep
his part of the DGB gang supplied with ammo, Taquila Tab uses a Dillon
reloading machine. This machine is a Square Deal! It was built in the heart
of the great Apache warrior Cochise’s stronghold near Phoenix, Arizona. All
pistol and rifle ammo is loaded by him on this machine during the winter
months when they are holed up at their hide out in Sherman, Illinois.
For shotgun
shells, a MEC Junior, Mark V born in Cincinnati, Ohio is sometimes used.
Instead of performing the tedious chore of shotgun shell reloading, if the
gang is flush with the spoils of victory, it will buy its shotgun ammo from
one of Sam Walmart’s general stores along in the cow towns and camps along
the trail.
